The Joint Enlistment Enhancement Program (JEEP 500) is an exclusive initiative for the New Mexico National Guard to incentivize recruitment through its current members. This program offers a generous $500 reward for any lead referrals provided by New Mexico National Guard members that successfully result in new enlistments. JEEP 500 aims to leverage the insights and networks of those with first-hand experience with the National Guard’s benefits and commitments, effectively fostering a community-driven approach to recruitment.
HOW IT WORKS
ELIGIBILITY
New Mexico National Guard members may register as JEEP Assistants. All current members of the New Mexico National Guard holding the pay grade of O-5 and below, and Department of Military Affairs (DMA) employees can participate in JEEP. Guard members assigned, attached, or affiliated (full-time, part-time, temporary status, or performing Active Duty for Operational Support) to the Recruiting Command for the NMANG or the NMARNG and their immediate family members cannot participate in this program.
Lead Referral
All lead referrals should be submitted through NMNGJEEP to be eligible for JEEP incentive payments. You should use the same email address every time you submit a lead. Once the program manager has verified that you and your lead is eligible, you lead will be assigned to a local recruiter.
Payment
When a lead enlists and begins training with the NMNG, the assistant will earn $500 per recruit after fulfilling the assistant agreement's terms and conditions. The Enlistment Verification and Certification and Request for Payment forms must be submitted to receive this payment. Payment is limited to five recruits per fiscal year unless audited and approved for more by the Department of the Military under full JEEP compliance. These payments are taxable income and will be automatically taxed prior to payment. You must have current payment documentation on file with the New Mexico State Programs Division to receive payment.
Duties
JEEP assistants will be expected to guide, motivate, and encourage recruits until the recruit ships to initial training to provide guidance, mentorship, and support. The assistant shall perform other duties related to the enlistment action as deemed necessary or directed by the Adjutant General.
